Lake Wivenhoe is an artificial lake formed by the Wivenhoe Dam on the Brisbane River, about 80 kilometres (or 50 miles) from Brisbane, the capital of the State of Queensland, Australia. It is one hour's drive from Brisbane, surrounded by picturesque country-side and historic townships.

Lake Wivenhoe contains a volume of water two and a half times the water in Sydney Harbour. The primary purpose of the lake is to provide a water storage for south-eastern Queensland as well as extra storage for mitigation of periodic flooding of the Brisbane River. This capacity is several times its normal "full" capacity. The lake also forms part of the water storages for the Wivenhoe Power Station.

Lake Wivenhoe is also a camping and outdoor recreation destination. The managed camping facilities at Captain Logan Camp include hot showers, barbecues and toilets, and are adjacent to playgrounds, kiosk, boat hire and boat ramps at Logan Inlet.

There is also the Cormorant Bay Restaurant.

2006 has consistently seen the dam at less than 30% of its usable capacity.
