Lake Bosten

Lake Bosten (= Bosten = Bosten-See = Bosten Hu = Bagrax-hu = Bagrasch-köl = Baghrasch köl = Bagratsch-kul = Bositeng Lake = Bositeng Hu) (Chinese: 博斯騰湖; pinyin: Bósīténg Hú) (42°00′N 87°00′E) is located 57 km northeast of Korla, Xinjiang, China in Bayin'gholin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture.

A large freshwater lake covering about 1,000 square kilometers.

Bullhead and blunt-snout bream are the types of fish native to the lake.

Referred to as the 'Oriental Hawaii of Xinjiang' because of its unique lush scenery surrounded by the harsh Gobi Desert.

A fishery is also located on the lake.
