From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Laguna de Santa Rosa is a fourteen mile long river that drains a 254 square mile watershed which encompasses most of the Santa Rosa Plain in sonoma County, California, USA. The Laguna, whose component streams rise on the southern slopes of the Sonoma and Mayacmas Mountains,[1] is the largest tributary of the Russian River. Beyond its hydrological significance, Laguna de Santa Rosa is Sonoma County’s richest wildlife habitat, and the most biologically diverse part of the County.
