From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Laguna Náinari is an artificial lake of 2 km of diameter created in a zone of small lagoons in the west side of Ciudad Obregón (Mexico).
It is one of the main attractions of Ciudad Obregón and is utilized for having family picnics and as a place for new couples to enjoy time together. It has been the site for sport-events such as triathlons, marathons and cycling. The Parque Infantil ("Children's park"), a theme park with its private zoo its located on its southeastern shore. The Centro Deportivo Alvaro Obregón, a sports center, is located on its northern shore.
The lagoon is surrounded by trees which help clean the air of a growing city. It also serves as a place where coconuts are prepared and sold for eating. Raspados, or crushed, flavored ice is also an attraction of the lagoon. It has a hostel for young travelers (backpackers).
