"Lafayette Blues" is a single by The White Stripes. It features one song ("Sugar Never Tasted So Good") off their debut album The White Stripes as well as another song ("Lafayette Blues") that was planned for the album but it was decided that the band did not want to use the song again although it did make it on to the Japanese pressing of the album. 500 copies were released in November of 1998 (see 1998 in music) on white vinyl. In 2001 a second edition of 1000 black vinyl were released.
