Lafayette Avenue is a station on the IND Fulton Street Line of the New York City Subway, located at Lafayette Avenue and Fulton Street in Brooklyn. It is served by the C train at all times except late nights, when the A train assumes service.
This is a local station with two side platforms. Both platforms have stairs that lead up to a long mezzanine and fare control. There is no crossover or crossunder between the northbound and southbound platforms. Exits from the mezzanine are on Greene Avenue, South Portland Avenue, South Oxford Street, and Hanson Place. The tilework at this station is composed of dull green tiles reading "Lafayette Ave."
South of this station there is a storage/lay up track between the two express tracks. Both ends of the track connects to the express tracks, and ends on a bumper block.
