Laetitia Juliette Griffith (Paramaribo, Suriname, November 1, 1965) is a Dutch Member of Parliament for the liberal People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD).
Born in Suriname, Griffith moved to the Netherlands in 1987 to study law. She graduated in 1992 from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. In 1993 she started work at the Dutch Ministry of Justice.[1]
In 2000 Griffith joined the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy. After the fall of the First Balkenende cabinet she became a member of the Dutch parliament. On May 16, 2005, she became Alderman in the Amsterdam municipal council.[1]
On May 19, 2006, it was announced that Griffith would succeed Ayaan Hirsi Ali as parliamentarian. For the Dutch general election, 2006, Griffith is 5th on the candidate list for the VVD.
