Lady Moyra Browne

Lady Moyra Blanche Madeleine Browne DBE (b. March 2, 1918) is a former nurse and the only daughter of Vere Ponsonby, 9th Earl of Bessborough and his wife, Roberte.
On December 10, 1945, she became the second wife of Sir Denis Browne and they lived together in his native home of Australia.
After her husband's death in 1967, Lady Moyra returned to England and was vice-president of the Royal College of Nursing from 1970 to 1985, Superintendent-in-Chief of St. John Ambulance from 1970 to 1983 and Governor of Research into Ageing from 1987 to 1989.
