Lady Lovelylocks was the beautiful princess of the Kingdom of Lovelylocks. She and her friends were aided by the Pixietails in keeping the jealous Duchess Ravenwaves and her Comb Gnomes out of trouble.

From the company who created Care Bears and Popples, Lady Lovely Locks and the Pixietails was another attempt to turn adorable greeting card characters into a hit cartoon series.

A number of classic Lady Lovely Locks toys were created by Mattel and are displayed in collections of 80s cartoon memorabilia. Lady Lovely Locks dolls were produced by Mattel from 1987 to 1989. Dolls were 8.5 inches tall and meant for young girls who were obsessed with hair. Each doll displayed long, colorful locks and came with several Pixietails- small plastic animals with long silky tails. Pixietails could be worn in the hair of either Lady Lovely Locks or the child.
