From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Laco Lučenič (born November 23, 1952) is a Slovak musician and music producer, and a member of the famous Slovak bands Fermáta, Prúdy, Modus and Limit. He is also popular for his role as a judge on the Slovak Pop Idol (Slovensko hľadá SuperStar).
Growing up during the sixties, he became fascinated by the "electrifying" music of the Beatles, the Kinks, the Rolling Stones and other bands of the time. In his project called "Satisfactory", he plays music from the sixties. Laco Lučenič is now working on Satisfactory 2, which will be focused on Czechoslovak popular music of the sixties and beyond.
As a guitarist, he has played with other Slovak artists such as Pavol Hammel, Marián Varga and Miroslav Žbirka. He has produced albums for Slovak and Czech singers and bands such as HEX, IMT Smile, Peha, Slobodná Európa, Miroslav Žbirka and Marika Gombitová. His own albums "Bodliak na plavkách", "Zastávky na znamenie" and "Svetlo (...a pocit bezpečia)" have now—after a long time—been released as a 2 CD set called "Laco Lučenič Komplet".
