Lac des allemands

Lac Des Allemands is a 12,000-acre lake located mostly in St. John the Baptist parish, Louisiana. It is 26 miles west of New Orleans and is connected to Lake Salvador by Bayou Des Allemands. The lake is little more than 10 feet deep and very fertile and as such it has an incredible catfish habitat.
