[edit] History
Founded in 1989 in Kent, Washington by Glenn Welstad and two partners, it has rapidly expanded and now has over 800 offices in every state, Puerto Rico, Canada, and the U.K. Its shares are traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol LRW.
[edit] Work environment
Workers are paid daily in cash or check, although a fee is charged if a worker elects to be paid in cash, in all states except Massachusetts where there is no fee and in Arizona where cash is not offered as a payment method. Workers are provided with equipment such as boots, gloves, ear plugs, safety goggles, and hard hats.
Branches typically open around 5:30 AM and start dispatching workers right away. Depending on the location of the office and the day of the week, anywhere from zero to roughly one hundred workers can be dispatched daily.
