Labëria
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Labëria is a region in southwestern Albania roughly reaching from Vlorë south to the Greek border near Sarandë, incorporating Gjirokastra and extending east to the city of Tepelenë.
It is a region where original pre-Ottoman culture, customs and language are well preserved. According to some historians and Albanologues, the origin of the Labs is from the region of Llapi in Kosovo. They migrated South around the seventh century, because of the Slavic invasions from the north.
