[edit] History
The name "La Tele" was establsihed as multimedia project created by a conglomerate of various communication companies on December 1, 2002 (which coincidentally happened to be the day before the Venezuelan general strike began). It had taken over the signal of channel 12 from the defunct Marte TV. Originally 80% of the shows seen on La Tele were imported from other countries.
[edit] Programming
You can see La Tele's Programming Chart. For those who can't read in the Spanish language, "Lunes" is "Monday", "Martes" is "Tuesday", "Miercoles" is "Wednesday", "Jueves" is "Thursday", "Viernes" is "Friday", "Sabado" is "Saturday", and "Domingo" is "Sunday".
[edit] Trivia
- The owners of La Tele didn't know what to call their new television station so it was just known as "Canal 12". La Tele’s logo was created for Canal 12, therefore the logo is older than its name.
- Marietta Santana, host of "Y Punto", used to have a morning talk show on Radio Caracas Televisión called "A Puerta Cerrada". "A Puerta Cerrada" was seen during the 1980's and early 1990's.
