La Quebrada (spanish for the broken one in feminine) is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Acapulco.

This is a cliff of about 148 feet height, where diving is practiced, usually by local people and occasionally they bear an alight torch. The main danger is that they must calculate the right moment to jump from the edge of the cliff to fall into the water when the waves move the sea to the highest level, otherwise they would have a mortal impact against the rocks beneath the surface.

In one of the walls of the cliff, there is a walk track and a restaurant, where it is possible to see the divers falling into water, also pelicans doing same for trapping fishes.
