[edit] Summary

The site plan for the Olmec La Venta archaeological site in Veracruz, Mexico. Created by User:MapMaster using the map Image:Plano La Venta.svg by the wonderful User:Yavidaxiu. The "source code" for this image can be found at Image:La Venta Site Plan.svg, but apparently the SVG interpreter here in Wikipedia can not handle the fonts I've used and has inserted other weird-osity, so I'm uploading it as a PNG file.

[edit] References

I modified the map based on:

  • Richard E W Adams, Prehistoric Mesoamerica, Revised Edition, University of Oklahoma Press, Norman, Oklahoma, 1991.
  • Coe, M; Snow, D; Benson, E; Atlas of Ancient America; Facts on File, New York, 1986.
