Kystjeger Kommandoen

The Kystjeger Kommandoen (KJK) (literally, "Coasthunter commando" in Norwegian) is a coastal defense force launched in 2001 by the Norwegian Navy. A mobile and flexible unit along the model of the U.S. Navy Seals, the KJK is designed to strike anywhere in defense of the country, as well as participate in international operations. Members of the elite force, which has attracted many new recruits, are known as jegere ("hunters").
To match the capabilities of other international special forces, the KJK are using comparable weaponry. Their primary weapon is the G36 (unlike the standard army, which uses the AG3, although that will change soon). Based at sea, they are also using RIBs, rubber boats and the combat boat Stridsbåt 90.
