[edit] Rival Schools
At the start of Rival Schools, Kyoko is ordered by Raizo Imawano, Justice High's principal, to go with Hideo to search for recruits for enroll to the school. Kyoko is suspect of her employer's motives, but when she and Hideo confront Raizo about the reasons for their mission, the teachers are defeated and brainwashed by Raizo's nephew, Hyo. The two would be broken out of their mind control by other students investigating Justice, and their spirit in defeating Justice would inspire Kyoko to quit her position as nurse and become a teacher. Later on, she accepts a marriage proposal from Hideo, much to the surprise of her colleague.
[edit] Project Justice
When Raizo is hospitalized by an attack from an unknown assassin, Kyoko and Hideo set out to find out who attacked their boss. They are soon joined by Hayato, who suspects that the same people who attacked Raizo were also responsible for disrupting the Taiyo-Pacific Athletics battle. The teachers eventually help to discover that it is a Justice High student, Kurow Kirishima, behind the plans and help defeat him, though Hideo is seriously injured in fighting off a possessed Hyo Imawano. Despite this, Kyoko and Hideo promise to help rebuild Justice High after it is destroyed from the fight with Hyo.
