Kyoko Gardiner is an artist, writer and theorist born in Tokyo, Japan in 1975. She studied for Ph.D. in art theory in University of Tokyo before moving to Glasgow, Scotland.

Topics of her drawings and short stories often include the quirky nature of living as a young woman in the contemporary world. She has also published a number of poems and musical recordings.
