Kuzhithurai is a city and a municipality in Kanniyakumari District in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
Kuzhithurai is a small town in the southern most Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu, India. It is the administrative headquarters of the vilavancode taluk.

The river flowing through Kuzhithurai is Tambhiraparani. This town is also a centre for the annual vavu bhali exhibition held during July. It is very near to Marthandam.

As of 2001 India censusGRIndia, Kuzhithurai had a population of 20,326. Males constitute 49% of the population and females 51%. Kuzhithurai has an average literacy rate of 82%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 84%, and female literacy is 80%. In Kuzhithurai, 10% of the population is under 6 years of age.
Kuzhithurai municipality is spreading over an area of 5 sq.km.
People of this particular area who knows both Tamil and Malayalam languages, because it is near to Kerala state. A government Teacher Training school is here.
