Kuwana, Mie

Kuwana (桑名市; -shi) is a city located in Mie, Japan.

As of 2004, the city has an estimated population of 137,019 and a density of 1,002.33 persons per km². The total area is 136.70 km².

The city was founded on April 1, 1937, and the city merged two towns in Kuwana District of Nagashima and Tado on December 6, 2004.
