Kuruksastra is the cultural festival of SASTRA University, Thirumalaisamudram, Thanjavur. The name Kuruksastra is derived from Kurukshetra, the site of the legendary war mentioned in the Indian epic, Mahabharata. Kuruksastra, therefore, is expected to be a war of talent in the various competitions.

Events at the fest will include English Literary events, Hindi and Tamil events, Arts, Music and Gaming.

The first edition of Kuruksastra will be held in early March 2007.
