Kurahaupō

In Māori tradition, Kurahaupō is the canoe which brought to New Zealand the ancestors of several iwi including Ngati Apa, Ngati Awa, Ngati Ruanui, all of Taranaki, and Ngati Kahungunu of the lower North Island. Ruatea was the chief.
