Kunos (? – 1040) was a legendary founder and Prince of Kaunas (Kunosow), Jurbarkas (Jurbork, Jurgenburg) and Zawelsk. Not mentioned by any medieval source, he first appears in one of the many fake (and much later) genealogies. Historically, no Lithuanian rulers before Mindaugas were recorded.

Chronika Bichowcja

A seredni syn Kunos pryszoł na ustie reki Newiaży, hde ona wpadaiet w Nemon, i toy wczynił horod, i nazwał ieho imenem swoim, Kunosow horod.
