Kulubi

Kulubi is a town in eastern Ethiopia. Located in the Misraq Hararghe Zone of the Oromia Region, lying south of Dire Dawa, this town has a longitude and latitude of 9°26′N 41°41′E. Based on figures published by the Central Statistical Agency in 2005, Kulubi has an estimated total population of 4,478, of whom 2,318 were males and 2,160 were females.[1]

Kulubi is known for its cathedral, an important pilgrimage destination. The cathedral was erected in 1962, replacing a church that had marked the Ethiopian victory in the Battle of Adwa.
