From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kulashekhara was one of the Alvars, and he probably lived in the 8th century. The legend states that he was an incarnation of Vishnu’s jewel named Kaustubha.
The details of personal life of Kulashekhara have been lost, and much is not known about his personal life. He was an exceptional poet of devotional hymns and songs. He had written a set of ten exquisite poems in Tamil, and the work is called Tirumal Perumoli. The poems are dedicated to Vishnu. He had also written a set of forty verses in Sanskrit, and these verses were also devoted to Vishnu.
