Kuh
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kuh (Persian: کوه) means mountain in Persian and therefore appears at the end of many mountain names of Persian origin.
In Mazandaran province of Iran, the land is naturally divided into two main parts: coastal areas of Caspian Sea, and mountaneous parts of Alborz. Consequently, the people living in the coastal areas are called Dashti (from the plain areas), and the people living in the elevated areas are called Kuhi (from mountains).
