Kudzu league

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Kudzu League is an unofficial, yet widely referred-to association of accredited colleges and universities in the southern region of the United States of America.

The Kudzu League has become widely known in modern culture, and is a spin-off of the more well-known Ivy League. Unlike the Ivy League, which consists of eight universities, the Kudzu League is comprised of eleven colleges and universities. These eleven institutions are sometimes referred to as the "Elite Eleven." Additionally, the Kudzu League, unlike the Ivy League, is comprised of both public and private institutions.

The eleven colleges and universities, or "Elite Eleven" that comprise the Kudzu League are the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the University of Virginia, the College of William and Mary, Vanderbilt University, Duke University, Emory University, Wake Forest University, Davidson College, Washington and Lee University and Rice University.
