Kudankulam (Tirunelveli Dist., Radhapuram Taluk)is a place in Tamil Nadu, India, 25 km north east of Kanyakumari. Its nearest main town is Nagercoil, at a distance of 35 km.
Two 1000 MWe nuclear reactors are presently under construction in Kudankulam. They are scheduled to attain criticality on 2007. The reactors are being constructed by Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited with assistance from Russians.
