Talk:Kuala Terengganu

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

KT is technically a "town", not a "city". See Wikipedia article Cities of Malaysia, which explains that only 12 municipalities in Malaysia are officially recognized as "cities", and unfortunately KT is not (yet) so recognized.

I haven't subtracted anything from this article, except for exchanging "town" for "city," but what does it mean to say that "agriculture" is one of the main activities in KT? Where are they growing all those crops? Outside the city, then selling them at the Pasar, I think. Ditto for "fisheries," unless the fishing boats that dock at the KT harbor also deliver an appreciable amount of fish to other parts of the country. Do they? I'd like to know more, and perhaps the author of the article does and will make a comment. I look forward to that.

I wish to be enlightened on the abbreviation of Kuala Terengganu to TRG.I haven't heard of that before. Is that a term used affectionately by locals such as KL for Kuala Lumpur?

TRG.=Terengganu KT=Kuala Terengganu use by local. Let me explain these to non-locals, "agriculture" are done usually in near “Hulu Terengganu” in places called "Dusun" which are own by people living in Kuala Terengganu. During the harvest season, these planters will either go to their plant themselves to pick up the fruits or help someone to do it and sell them to other places. There is a fishing village called "Marang" about 15 km away from Terengganu. Where do you think all the sea fishes in Malaysia come from? Malacca Straits. I have also change the article from TRG which stand for Terengganu to K.TRG which i feel is more accurate.
