Kuala Tahan is located at the confluence of the Tahan and Tembiling Rivers. The word Kuala means "confluence" in Malay, and the Tahan is a tributary of the Tembiling river. A resort at Kuala Tahan receives visitors to Taman Negara. Other facilities include a restaurant and campsites.

Getting there: From Jerantut by local bus that epart several times a day at RM6.00 per person or share taxi at RM50.00 per taxi or you also can take a slowboat that depart at 9.00AM and 2.00PM daily except friday 9.00AM and 2.30PM.
