KTYM

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

KTYM, which broadcasts at 1460 AM out of Inglewood, California, is the only commercial radio station in the Los Angeles area owned by an African-American company. Pittman Broadcasting is the licensee.

Programming on the 5,000-watt station consists mainly of church services, teaching programs, and Bible studies. There are occasional time-brokered shows, including one sponsored by Recycling Black Dollars. RBD is an organization of black business owners.

KTYM was the long-time home of "Spiritual Vibes," hosted by Ollie Collins, Jr., a legendary gospel music disk jockey in Los Angeles. It was also heard on KMAX 107.1 FM.
