[edit] Call Letters

--24.245.9.85 00:26, 7 September 2006 (UTC) Anyone know what the call letters 'KTIS' stand for? I always assumed "Twin Cities Inspirational", but I'm not sure they were considered Inspirational from the start... I'm also surprised they don't have NW (for Northwestern College) in their call letters, like most of their satellite stations do... --Rehcsif 02:04, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

According to my research, the call letters have been in place at 98.5 since the 1940s. I assume these were the original widely-used calls from their initial sign-on.--Fightingirish 19:51, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
That is correct. They are the original FCC assigned call letters and were arbitrarily assigned. --24.245.9.85 00:26, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
