KTAB-TV is the CBS affiliate serving Abilene, Texas. It is owned by the Nexstar Broadcasting Group. Nexstar Broadcasting purchased KTAB, a CBS affiliate, in August 1999. At acquisition, Nexstar appointed a new General Manager with in-market experience, and made substantial operating improvements. The management team and staff are committed to localism and is a leader in high school sports and severe weather coverage.
KTAB syndicated programming includes The Oprah Winfrey Show, Judge Judy and Wheel of Fortune.
During 2003 and 2004, KTAB has entered into various service agreements with Mission Broadcasting station KRBC TV, which have greatly improved the operating efficiencies of both stations. In addition our facility provides various back-office and master control functions for Nexstar and Mission stations in San Angelo, Texas.
KTAB's weeknight newscasts are anchored by longtime Abilene news personality Bob Bartlett. KTAB News Anchor at 5, 6, 10 is Angela Taylor.
KTAB broadcasts both an analog and digital signal to viewers.
