KSON is an American radio station in the San Diego, California area. It broadcasts at 1240 kHz. It started its life as a country music station simulcasting KSON. Then it switched to Radio Disney in the 1990s. After that it switched to a Vietnamese talk station. In late December 2004, after vicious rainstorms, the top half of KSON's antenna tower bent downward, which blacked out the signal for 2 days. After 2 days of fixing the tower, their legendary '1240 KSON' lettering had to be removed. The antenna is shared with gospel music station KURS.
