Superman: Krypton Coaster is a roller coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Designed by Bolliger & Mabillard, it is one of four floorless coasters to open in the year 2000 (the other three were Medusa West at Six Flags Marine World, Batman: Knight Flight at Six Flags Worlds of Adventure and Kraken at SeaWorld Orlando). The coaster stands 168 feet tall and has a track length of 4025 feet and top speed of 70 mph—the fastest of any B & M looping coaster. It has six inversions:
- Vertical loop, atop which sits a small statue of the “Man of Steel” himself
- Zero-gravity roll
- Cobra roll
- Interlocking corkscrews after the mid-course brake run
Six Flags Fiesta Texas and B & M utilized the surrounding cliff in the creation of Superman: Krypton Coaster. Both the top of the lift hill and the helix after the vertical loop extend over this cliff.
