KRVI "River 95.1" is a radio station based in Fargo, North Dakota, though licensed by the FCC to Barnesville, Minnesota, owned by Clear Channel Communications. The stations runs on an Adult Album Alternative (AAA) format, an eclectic variety of blues, reggae, folk, pop, and rock from the late-1960s to the present. Despite not being located in Fargo-Moorhead, that metro area is considered the station's main listening audience. KRVI recently tweaked its format from Adult Contemporary to its current AAA format. The station also annually airs Christmas music after Thanksgiving until Christmas Day. The station can also be heard streaming on the internet on its website.
It has been announced on September 28, 2006 that KRVI and the other Clear Channel stations in Fargo are being sold to James Ingstad, who lives in Fargo. Ingstad once owned the stations and sold them in 2000, though KDAM didn't sign on until 2002.
Clear Channel also owns KFGO 790 (News/Talk), KVOX 1280 (Sports), KFAB 92.7 (Classic country), WDAY 93.7 (Top 40), KKBX 101.9 (Classic Rock), and KDAM 104.7 (Country) in the Fargo-Moorhead area.
