[edit] Major Thanks

Major thanks for institgating this whole Loyola Vandal mess. Just what Wikipedia needed: Another vandal. --OsFan 16:22, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

I didn't instigate jack shit. If he didn't like what I had on my user page, then guess what? He didn't have to look at it. Quite simple. --KrossTalk 18:00, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
Ditto. If the LV was offended by Kross, then there are hundreds of editors who could have equally offended the LV. The fact that it was Kross was mere luck of the draw. --maru (talk) contribs 19:18, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
How wrong both of you are. Check out User Talk: 144.126.161.43 and Wikipedia talk:Long term abuse/Loyola Vandal. The User Talk shows your behavior, and the Vandal himself explained this actions in his article's talkpage.
You have a right to posting what you want on your user page, but you could have been more diplomatic. Check out the Jimbo's Wishes section on this user talk. Did the Vandal really come off that bad to warrant your swearing?
Finally, Maru, did you really have to respond that way? How was that Jimbo's Wishes section a threat? OsFan 22:46, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
Absolutely yes. I refuse to be cowed by a self-righteous censoring vandal. --

maru (talk) contribs 23:43, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

Given that you are a piss poor admin, I would expect that kind of response from you. I'm done with you. OsFan 20:02, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

Honestly, I could give a rats ass.--KrossTalk 23:09, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

Then I personally hope he keeps on vandalizing your user page/user talk/sandbox/whatever the hell of yours he decides to mess with. OsFan 23:17, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
And I would care, why?--KrossTalk 23:31, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
Point well taken. If I looked like you, I would have stopped giving a fuck years ago. I'm done arguing with you too. OsFan 20:02, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
Oh for shame, you have wounded me!--KrossTalk 20:08, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wow

How do you know so many templates like the George W Bush one? That is a cool one! The ed17 17:21, 21 April 2006 (UTC) (talk)

Um, can you go to my user page and tell me what I did wrong? Also, is there a West Wing template that I could put in like {{User West Wing}}?? The ed17 19:11, 21 April 2006 (UTC) (talk)
There doesn't appear to be a West Wing userbox.--KrossTalk 19:42, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] user page

Hey your user page remarks that you're interested in old navy gunboats. I just recently restored Commander Mine Squadron SEVEN back from the dead. Within the article are about 50 different ship names, mostly MSO class minesweepers, that are worthy of an article but are still redlinked. Actually if you go to that article and click the Special:Whatlinkshere or whatever it's called, one of those pages has the complete list of redlinked MSO's. If you're interested in making some new articles on US Navy warships, that might not be a bad place to start. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 21:59, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Adigallia.jpg)

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Adigallia.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that your image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If your image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why your image was deleted. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. cholmes75 (chit chat) 19:21, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Lukeskywalkereu.jpg

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Lukeskywalkereu.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Lord Deskana Dark Lord of the Sith 22:16, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Culture of Turkey

There is a painting in the article attributed to Nazmi Ziya Guran, but no info about that on the image page. Do you know what is the proof that it is by Guran? If this is not forthcoming, it will have to be deleted. Tyrenius 17:21, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks. I have added info and reference to image page. Tyrenius 22:09, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Zhangziyihero.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Zhangziyihero.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 19:11, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] American

I noticed that you recently added a link to American here. American is a disambiguation page as the phrase has many uses including a person from the Americas or the United States. In the future, could you link the term to one of the articles listed on the American disambiguation term, that would be great. As an example, if you're linking to something related to the United States, you would input [[United States|American]]. Thanks! --Bobblehead 07:41, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] From Your Friend LCV

So what's up, Mr. Kross? As you've noticed I haven't your page that hard since last year. I realized something pretty quickly. Every time I either A)Make an LCV name or B) admit to being myself, I get banned so quickly. So consider yourself lucky for this year. I do have some plans for you though. And to think. All you had to do was just be civil. LCVMAN 18:50, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

You know, you made your point. Hell, I don't even remember *why* this all started. Anyways, my page is protected and any vandalism done to this page ends up being reverted quickly. Its pretty futile and a waste of everyone's time.--KrossTalk 19:31, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
LCV, YOU are precisely why civility fails. None is given where it isn't earned. You have earned none whatsoever. Get over yourself, find a girl, and forget about Wikipedia. Or better yet concentrate on your college studies instead of your vendetta with Kross. Maybe you'll succeed in your major and, in the process, gain a little something called 'maturity'. Good day sir. E. Sn0 =31337= 20:49, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
And people wonder why vandalism happens? What are you trying to prove to the guy? I'm a former vandal, I must admit (though I've repented my ways). This is not how you talk to a vandal. If it was me you had spoken that way too, I would have gone nuts. 68.54.163.153 12:55, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bear River Expedition and Bear River Massacre

Close to a year ago, you offered the opinion that these two events may have been either tied together or even being one and the same thing. (See Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Military history/Archive 11#Bear River Expedition)

I have again raised that issue with substantial facts this time to back this up. (See Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Military history/United States military history task force#Bear River Expedition). I was sort of curious about why you raised this issue in the first place, and if you might have any more information that could be brought to light. It certainly seems out of place where a major named military expedition has absolutely no information about it other than as a very minor footnote on a list of campaigns, but the expedition to Franklin, Idaho is not even mentioned by military histories in spite of substantial casualties by the U.S. Army and the action of nearly a battalion of soldiers commanded by a man who was later promoted to become a general officer directly due to the campaign.

If you have any thoughts on the subject, they would be appreciated. --Robert Horning 15:42, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
