Kroppkaka is a traditional Swedish dish, namely potato-dumplings with a filling of onions and pork or [[bacon]. They are served with butter or cream and lingonberry jam. There are some regional variations as to the recipe, in particular when it comes to the proportions of pre-boiled and raw potatoes, respectively. Note that, although quite similar, kroppkakor is not the same thing as palt. Kroppkakor are mostly made out of pre-boiled potatoes and wheat, which is not the case with palt. In palt, raw potatoes and barley are used. On Öland kroppkakor has got more raw potatoes than pre-boiled ones.

Potatoes, wheat flour, onion, salt and minced meat/pork are common ingredients in kroppkakor.

Kroppkakor are mainly eaten in the Swedish landskap(regions) Öland, Småland and Blekinge.
