Popularly called as Super Star Krishna, Ghattamaneni Sivarama Krishna has rewritten the Telugu film history with his unique and pathbreaking films in the era where only black & white family films were the regular features of the telugu film industry.

Debuted with Adurthi Subbarao's Thene Manasulu (1965), Krishna has created a special place for himself by producing / acting in films like Devudu Chesina Manushulu, Alluri Seetharama Raju, Devadasu, Kurukshethram, Simhasanam, Mosagallaku Mosagadu etc. He has produced the first Cinemascope film (Alluri Seetharama Raju), 70MM film (Simhasanam), Cowboy Movie (Mosagallaku Mosagadu). He specialised in James Bond type roles, Cowboy movies, Political (Eenadu) and Political Satires, Mythologicals (Kurukshetram, Ekalavya), and Rural themes (Padi Pantalu, Bhoga Bhagyalu).

His son, Mahesh Babu is one of the leading Heroes of telugu film industry today.

Krishna is still active in films but waiting for another break in his career.
