Krivogaštani

Krivogaštani (Кривогаштани) is a village and municipality situated in the Prilep Oblast on the Pelagonian plain in the Republic of Macedonia. The main village is along the main route from Prilep to Kruševo. The villages currently within this district include Bela Crkva, Obršani, Vođani, Ruvci and Krušeani.
In 2002, the council governed a population of 6,007 people, over 95% of whom declareded themselves Macedonian.
The remaining minority comprised Romani and Gagauzi (ethnic Turks), particularly in the village of Presil where in 2001, the entire Turkish population of the village was expelled from their homes in an indirect measure aimed at defying ethnic Albanian resistance. Following the ceasefire later the same year, most of the inhabitants returned.
