Kristian Bak Nielsen (born October 20, 1982) is a Danish professionel football player, who currently plays for the Danish Superliga club FC Midtjylland.

Bak Nielsen plays often the role as central defender, but he has a past as forward so he is quite dangerous in front of the opponent's goal. Kristian is the captain on the FC Midtjylland team, where he has played all his career.

Bak Nielsen has played a single under-21 national match which was in 2003, which was against Bosnia & Herzegovina. He came on the pitch in the extra time of second half instead of Thomas Kahlenberg, in the match Denmark won 3-0.

On November 20, 2006 he was called up for the league national team, for the trip to the United States, El Salvador and Honduras in January 2007, by national team manager Morten Olsen.
