[edit] Career
Kris Kay originally from Gosport made his pro wrestling debut in August of 1998 against Adrian Finch at the age of sixteen. Kay has worked for various promotions around the UK including Premier Promotions (where he has wrestled over one hundred times), RBW, All Star and RQW.
He has been in the ring with some top UK veterans like Robbie Brookside, Johnny Kidd, Doug Williams, Mal Sanders and Steve Grey from whom he has learnt a lot from.
Over the years he has picked up a cocky demeanor which he has brought to Varsity Pro Wrestling. Kris has appeared on every VPW show to date and has built up a rivalry with youngster Chris Andrews.
On 24 July in a one night eight man tournament known as RBW but now known as VPW, Kris Kay defeated Andrews in an opening round match, several months later Kay attacked Andrews after a match, Andrews got his revenge however by costing Kay a match against Andy Simmonz. Upset by the loss Kay challenged Andrews to a match at the next show, Andrews accepted.
So on October 28 Andrews and Kay collided for the second time in a very hard hitting bout which ended with Kay using a chair shot when the referee was down to pick up the win.
Kay and Andrews faced off once again on November 25 and this time Kris Kay came out on the losing end following a great feud ending match.
On January 27 in Horndean Kris Kay defeated Eamon O'Neill.
Kris Kay teamed up with The Bulldozer on April 29 at Real Quality Wrestling show "A Night Of Champions" where they were both known as 'The Wrecking Crew' and they both came out on the losing end against 'The United Lions', Eamon O'Neill and Andy "Boy" Simmonz.
