I'm guessing this is the same as the kranjska klobasa, a typical Slovenian dish, named after the city of Kranj? edolen1 20:24, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

I'll rewrite the first part of the article a wee bit. First off, Kranj is not exactly a "small town" going by Slovene standard, and besides, the sausage is named for the Kranjska region, i.e. the Austro-Hungarian name for the region encompassing most of today's Slovenia. I believe a cheese kransky is actually a popular Austrian dish (called "Käsekrainer" in German), anyone who has been to Vienna would know that they are sold at the hot dog stands (Würstelständen) all around the city: de:Käsekrainer
