[edit] Krakout: Commercial or PD?
I am unclear on whether Krakout is commercial software or public domain. The article names a United Kingdom publisher (Gremlin Graphics) which would imply that this is a commercial game. However, the January 1989 issue of RUN Magazine specifically states that Krakout was public domain, and noted that it was available in the PD section on various then-popular online services, including GEnie. RUN was generally a reputable source, and I'm not sure whether the information published there is correct or whether the article is accurate. (I suppose it's possible that the company went out of business and the programmer later released it as PD, or something of that nature, but no evidence was given of that.) Can anyone clarify this?
