Kraljevo-Lađevci Airport (Serbian Latin: Aerodrom Lađevci, Cyrillic: Аеродром Лaђeвци) (IATA: N/A, ICAO: LYKV) also known as Obrva Airport is an airport in the Kraljevo Municipality, Serbia. Famous military airport will, in a month or two, be ready for landing of civilian airplanes. The airport is about to commence a major reconstruction this year (2006) in order for it to become a public airport. It will cost the Serbian government 30 million euros.
The airport is located some 15km form the Kraljevo city centre, 25km from Čačak and 35km from Kragujevac.
Kraljevo is ideally located. The city is very industrial with many factories (including a light-plane making factory) located in the city. All industrial companies in Kraljevo have expressed their wish for the reconstruction of the airport as cargo flights could save their companies a lot of money and time. Not only that, the airport is also located near the European famed mountain resort Kopaonik.

[edit] History
During the NATO Bombings of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 1999, the airport was badly destroyed. The airport is going to be reconstructed as seen below.
[edit] The reconstruction
Kraljevo-Lađevci Airport hopes to finish construction of its terminal in 2006 so it can be open for public and the much more important cargo flights.
[edit] New control tower
In the first phase, in some 30 days (June), the construction of the new control tower (instead of old control tower destroyed 1999) will commence at the airport in Lađevci. That investment will cost about 3.5 million EUR. Once it is finished, Lađevci will be able to receive smaller civilian airplanes. That will be followed by the second phase - broadening and extending of the existing runway (now is 35 meters (115 feet) wide) after which the airport will be able to receive even the biggest aircraft.
