Krakowskie Przedmieście

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Krakowskie Przedmieście (lit. Cracovian Suburb, until 19th century also known under its French name of Fauburg de Cracovie) is one of the most representative and prestigious streets of the city of Warsaw. A part of the Royal Road, the street links the Royal Castle and the Old Town with some of the most notable buildings in Warsaw, among them the Polish Academy of Sciences, Presidential Palace, Warsaw University, and many more. The other part of the Royal Road, the Nowy Świat street, is an extension of the Krakowskie Przedmieście towards the south.
