[edit] Secret Moves

  • Aurora Borealis: This technique was on par with Camus' Aurora Execution, although a bit weaker. However, this technique was much stronger than almost all the techniques under Cygnus Hyoga's knowledge. Most Isaac attacks are cold water based - like Hyoga he can also project his Cosmo to freeze things, as noted by his first appearance he instantly turned the wind into snow. While Aurora Borealis is Isaac's main technique of attack, it succesfully penetrates Hyoga's defenses and is the best technique he employs that makes best use of the cold.

[edit] Training in Siberia

Isaac, like, Hyoga - was also an orphan under the guidance of Aquarius Camus (the Crystal Saint in the anime), who was also to receive training in order to become Saint. Hyoga first met Isaac as a child. Both children enjoyed each other's passion to become Saints and soon became best friends. As any training to be Saint - the test was harsh, and the weather in Siberia was almost in the extreme subzero temperatures. However, nbo matter how harsh or how severe the training was, together - as friends, they survived.

Hyoga admired Isaac because it was his strong will that enabled him to surpass any obstacle. Isaac admired the Sea Monster Kraken, whose terrible anger reigned upon pirates and those who do evil. Isaac had clearly a stronger Cosmo than Hyoga, deep inside his heart Isaac yearned to be a true Saint like their teacher. Isaac took the training to become a worthy Saint to bring peace to the Earth, just like his master - the person he admired most. Isaac commented in how he liked Hyoga to follow the footsteps of their teacher and be as strong as he is. However, Hyoga did not share the same passion as he did....Hyoga had his reasons to become a Saint....

[edit] The mystery behind the scarred eye

Hyoga never cared about being a Saint, as a matter of fact - there was a deeper motive behind his actions to become a Saint. He was chosen to train in East Siberia because it was the place where his mother's grave was found. The ship that had sunk many years ago - still contained Hyoga's mother body, trapped under the very tick ice. In his current state, Hyoga as a normal human being could not have the necessary strength to break through the ice, let alone swim the incredible depth in which the ship had sunk. Only as a Saint, could Hyoga gather enough strength to break through the ice.

When Isaac became aware of Hyoga's true motive, he rapidly began attacking Hyoga. Isaac scolded Hyoga that a Saint must never use his own power for his own selfish reasons - but what really angered him was that Hyoga never really cared about becoming a Saint, nor the ideals upheld high by their teacher. He only wanted to gain the mythical strength of a Saint to break through the ice and see his deceased mother. Isaac lashed out in anger, and started beating on Hyoga until he finally stops. Isaac realizes that there will be nothing that he can say that will stop Hyoga, disgusted in bitter disappointment - he leaves Hyoga to his own fate but warns him of the strong current that comes from staying too long underwater.

Isaac leaves, and Hyoga is free to finally achieve his goal he set out to do from the very beginning. He breaks through the ice and swims the great depth to recover the body of his deceased mother. Overwhelmed by his emotions, Hyoga contemplates the beautiful face of his mother who had died trying to save his life many years ago. The cold had preserved her body well, and it seemed like she never decomposed at all. Hyoga, content in seeing his mother decides to head back - but it is caught under the terrible strong current that Isaac had warned him about. Not wanting to be swept away from the very person he cared deeply cared about, Hyoga holds on to the ropes of the ship becoming entangled in them.

On his way back to check on Hyoga, Isaac notices that despite his warning, Hyoga had decided to visit the site of his mother's frozen grave. Isaac realizes that Hyoga had becomed trapped under the very strong current. As Isaac swims to save Hyoga's life - he admires the deep devotion that Hyoga had for his mother. He held on tight to the ropes, despite his slim chances of making it back to the surface - his strong love for his mother allowed Hyoga to survive this long, trapped beneath the ice under the strong current that was now ravaging his body. Isaac realizes that if Hyoga could have this type of devotion towards this ideal, he would become a worthy Saint of Athena. Isaac recovers Hyoga's body but they are both swept away under by the current - in the process, Isaac's eye is pierced by a sharp piece of ice - leaving him in a bloody situation. Isaac manages to save Hyoga and together decide to swim up the surface - however they are both trapped under the cold ice which was now blocking their way to the surface. Isaac burns up his remaining Cosmo and punches through the ice, and manages to save Hyoga by throwing him up the ice. However, due to his severe eye trauma, and his heavy blood loss - Isaac no longer has the power to save himself and it is swept away by the current......

Hyoga's screams for Isaac drown into nothing as Isaac's body is violently tossed away into a deep cold icy grave.

[edit] Delivered from certain death, to Atlantis

Isaac closes his eye, and thinks he has died. He can't see anything and all is dark. However a kraken looms over his body and soon envelopes his body under its dark cloak. Isaac soon wakes up, in what he realized is mythical holy place - a place fabled by the myths as the legendary city of Atlantis, the realm of the Emperor of the Seas - Poseidon. It has been Poseidon's will that has saved Isaac life, and had now granted him a second chance to life. Isaac soon learns about Poseidon's ideal dream of the perfect world for humans. The current world had become polluted and vilified by humans, and as such, a second great flooding will wash away everything in order to create a new Eden for everyone.

Isaac pledges his loyalty and his life to Julian Solo, who is the re-incarnation of Poseidon in the land and becomes the Guardian of the Artic Sea Pillar.

[edit] Kraken Isaac, the General of the Artic Sea

As the Kraken General, Isaac had command over the immense army of Marinas whose loyalty only resided in Poseidon. This also fit perfect with his ideals he had held for so long, since he was a child. Soon, horrible news reach from the land that only further anger Isaac, fueling to his already deep hatred towards humanity:

- Saints have been reborned in the land, signaling the new Holy Wars, but deep seeds of betrayal between the Sanctuary of Athena has led to deaths of many Saints (Most of the Silver Saints assassins sent by the Pope, had been killed by this time as their mission was to kill Saori Kiddo and her Bronze Saints)

- The war against Sanctuary had also led to many deaths, including people that were once important in Isaac life. The death of his teacher - Crystal Saint, who was under the manipulation of the Pope's deadly Genrōmaōken which controlled his brain, sending him in madness and ultimately to his death under his student, Cygnus Hyoga (this was only in the anime).

- The bloodshed continued as Hyoga also defeated and killed the venerable Gold Saint Aquarius Camus in the battle of the 12 Zodiac houses.

Soon enough, Athena is placed under the Main Breadwinner, which is found behind the main temple of Poseidon. As expected, the Bronze Saints were sent to save her and the world from drowning. By this time 4 of the Pillars had already been destroyed, leaving the 3 Pillar left: The Pillar of the Artic Ocean, The Pillar of the North Atlantic Ocean, and the Pillar of South Atlantic Ocean. Hyoga was headed for the Pillar of the Artic Ocean where his old friend was waiting to meet him...

As Hyoga approaches the Artic Sea Pillar, he is confronted by yet, another face of his past - this time, it was an old friend who also went the same training to become a Saint. It was Isaac himself. Isaac projectes his cosmo and instantly created snow - signaling their old friendship was still very much important to Isaac. Hyoga begins to weep as he thought Isaac had died on that faithful day. The scar in his eye is a memento from that incident. Isaac walks down to greet his former friend, with an attack and remarks that Isaac did die that day. He was now "Kraken Isaac - Sea General of Poseidon". Soon, he unleashes his deadly attack, Aurora Borealis which completely knocks down Hyoga. Hyoga wants to fight back, but he is unable to fight back because he is overwhelmed by his nostalgic feelings for his childhood friend and feelings of guilt, for he was responsible for the downfall of his friend. Hyoga is unalbe to fight back against the man who once saved his life, and submits to Isaac - forfeiting his life. Hyoga demands that Isaac take his eye, and Isaac does not hesitate to do so - instantly piercing Hyoga's left eye leaving him with severe blood loss.

As Hyoga contemplates his last moments of life - he demands the true reason why Isaac had become a Sea General under the leadership of Poseidon. If he was meant to be originally a Saint - why was he fighting for Poseidon. Isaac only replies that Poseidon saved his life a long time ago, and that he grew disgusted at world full of hate, and meaningless fighting. He also degrades his former teacher Crystal Saint and Aquarius Camus, calling them weaklings. This anger Hyoga to fight back, but Isaac clearly possesses a stronger Cosmo than him, a Cosmo fueled by a deep grudge and full of hate. Isaac had no emotions, he was just ruthless. As Hyoga lays down in the floor defeated - Isaac notices Kiki (the apprentice of Aries Mu sent with the Gold Cloth of Libra whose weapons were capable of knocking down the Sea Pillars) and soon begins to attack him. Even a child is not spared from Isaac's wrath. Hyoga soon rescues Kikki and scolds at Isaac for raising his fist against a child. To Isaac it means no difference - under his eyes, all enemies of Poseidon must die, be it woman or child. Disgusted by Isaac's ruthless nature Hyoga begins to burn his Cosmo, awakening his Seventh Sense - in doing so, his armor begins to shine Gold. He prepares a Diamond Dust attack which effectively knocks down Isaac. Isaac prepares his deadliest attack, but Hyoga prepares his Aurora Execution which completely decimates Isaac Marine Scale and defeating him at last.

As Isaac is knocked down to the floor - he congratulates Hyoga in this victory. He is happy to know that Hyoga had grown so much, even beyond their teacher and wishes him luck on his journey. With a cough of blood, he smiles - but warns his old friend that the person behind all of this - is a person whose name must be familiar to them by now. Hyoga begs for his childhood friend to conserve his strength. Isaac knows that he is dying, but wants to warn his friend that this man possesses a truly powerful Cosmo, he is the Guardian of the North Atlantic Pillar and the Sea Dragon General.....his name is....before he finishes his sentence, Isaac gasps his final breath.

And with another cough of blood - Isaac, the man who had no feelings and renounced his emotions...dies
