KPSE-LP, channel 50, is a television station licensed to Palm Springs, California. Like most of the stations in the Coachella Valley area, it is a low-power station.
KPSE became an affiliate of My Network TV on 4 September 2006, the network's launch date. It opted to join the network as a result of UPN ceasing operations, merging with The WB to form The CW.
KPSE was then left without a network home when The CW selected KESQ to operate its Palm Springs affiliate. In turn, KESQ's owners launched KCWQ (channel 2) to carry the new network, succeeding to its cable-only The WB outlet "KCWB".
It is possible that at one point, cable channel 13 was home to KCOP. If this was the case, when KPSE began operation as a UPN affiliate, KCOP may have requested displacement and KPSE adopted cable channel 13.
