• Kyle to help Kshamta set up card table at end of lane
  • card table, pictionary timer, cipher disc, 3 diff size pens, cipher disc
  • car packed with apparatus for CDS and pictionary board

• Bethany & Gma to Chaldecott
  • construction paper, ski pole, clues, instructions, tape
  • car packed with snacks, blue table and all apparatus for field

[edit] Hunter House

• Back yard (bikes, lined in driveway)
• Teams given amazing race kit:
  1. scrap paper
  2. compass
  3. 3 pencils
  4. 3 paper pads

• Gather in LVRoom, basic rules:
  • make sure no one gets hurt Ride Safe!
  • time is crucial, time is urgent, there are prizes and a grand prize for the winning team
  • only go as slow as the fastest person
  • interference results in blue room & time addition (5s, 10s, 15s)

• Kshamta to end of lane
• Kyle @ back w/ timer & paper

2. Find teams on crosswords in driveway (name search – not timed)

• teams go in order based on who figures out teammates first
• phone Bethany with team order

3. Start race (start time, 3mins apart)

• Kshamta @ corner (w/ cipher disc hidden)
• teams to use their own scrap paper
• Given: A=C, e=g, i=k, o=q, u=w
• after 1.5 min mark, show cipher disc (get disc back before they leave)
• after 2.5 min mark, send to chaldecott!

• Kyle & Kshamta drive to cul-de-sac & set up egg game

1. Bethany & Gma to put up ski pole, & papers:

• hint on ski pole: “26 L'S In the A”
• 6 colours, construction paper
  • other colours with short or long names (not 5 letters)
• on back of green, white, brown will be directions for orienteering course (~10 mins long, use paces for measurement)
  • /orienteering1 (new compass)
  • /orienteering2 (old compass)

2. encode final clue (bleachers) in alpha code

• Bethany taking down stuff @ park, driving to field

1. Kyle & Kshamta watching egg race

• egg relay: instructions for egg race under a coloured construction paper with attached key (in folded paper, 5 ft. apart but within view)

2. after members cross relay finish line, stop time, record on timesheet

3. Stand on X and look towards coloured paper

• clues around cds to be wrapped around pens:

  • Med = w to trailhead, w on pipeline, s on sasamat to field with outhouse

• Bethany & Gma @ field w/ drinks & snacks
• Kyle & Kshamta , pack up, drive to field.

1. teams arrive and told to wait & eat snacks until all arrive

2. Blindfold game

1. Team members select instructor, painter, & recipient
2. Painter blindfolded
3. Instructor given heiroglyph card
   • instructor tells painter how to paint hieroglyph on recipient
4. Switch positions after hieroglyph is painted
   • /field-instructions
   • Have hieroglyph key on hand in case they're all worse than we thought
   • CODE = painting "Happy Birthday Lisa"

• Kyle goes to Chaldecott to set up pictionary; takes table & snacks to car.

3. Ski Race (Start time)

• Kshamta & Bethany administer race
• Explain rules:

1. Start at tree, when given envelope
2. Go to the cone, open the envelope, find out where you are going next
3. Strap into the skis and try to cross the finish line ASAP
4. The race is finished when the last bit of ski crosses the rope

• start time (space 3 mins apart)
  • envelope at cone
  • inside is another envelope that says in backwards writing: "To get ahead, use a tool that never lies"
  • finally inside is another piece of paper with the code writen backwards:
    • CODE = n to field, e to corner, n 2 blocks, e to chaldecott grove

• Kyle administers pictionary
• Bethany , Gma, & Kshamta to house & open garage
  • Pictionary clue = “Hunter’s Garage” on paper slip

A. If teams still guessing word, too bad for slow team

B. When words are guessed, give “blank paper” that has lemon magic writing

• CODE = “The game ends when the grass whistle blows”

• Kyle comes home after last team

1. Hot items set-up in garage

• • Ironing board & iron & towel
  • hairdryer
  • bare lamp
  • hotplate
• Also need: extension cord to another circuit
• buckets of water

2. Teams use hot item to develop magic paper (given at pictionary)

• CODE = "The game ends when the grass whistle blows"

3. Stop time when blade of grass used to make sound
